Reeder Handle
Miyata seats are famed for their handles. That design feature has been taken a step further. Presenting the Unicycle Handle! Originally developed by Chris Reeder and now produced by George Barnes IV this is a handle for the front of Viscount and Carbon fiber seats.

Strengths
The first thing that really leapt out at me once I fitted the handle was the very positive grip you get from it. The angle of the handle means your wrist is straight and not kinked like with a Miyata handle. This saves putting any extra strain on your wrist compared with the stock Miyata handle.
Viscount seats could see more life in them as it fits on their seat base. I'm not sure if this is a strength as I'm no fan of the Viscount ;)
Because the diameter of the tubing is the same as most mountain bikes you have a wide choice of grips to choose from.
George Barnes (the guy who makes them) was very helpful and full of good advice.
Weaknesses
Unless you like Viscount seats you'll be looking at getting a carbon fiber seat base as they won't fit on a standard Miyata seat base. A carbon fiber seat base is well worth it anyway if you can afford it.
The handle is left or right hand specific. This won't be a real problem to most as your average rider only really uses the same hand anyway. You can still grab it with the *wrong* hand in times of need.
Overall
One thing to watch out for is when drilling the mounting holes for the handle. Make sure you get them so the actual handle is centered. Otherwise you can end up with the either end of the handle sticking out slightly too far and it'll catch your leg as you pedal. This is only really noticeable on wheels bigger than 20" where your legs tend to come up higher though.
My first impressions have lasted. Brilliant!
