The unicycle worlds first trials specific frame... tested and developed by Kris Holm. It's gotta be good right?
Strengths
The 4130 Chromoly used in the frames construction is very strong indeed so it should hold up to the rigors of trials and street riding... not that I've ever broken any previous frames made of lesser materials.
The large flat sloping crown gives somewhere to rest your feet for one footed stuff and gliding. The grips present on the crown help keep your feet in place too. On the larger KH24 there is a piece of Chromoly webbing welded under the rear of the crown and to the tops of the forks to add extra strength.
Being design to take a 20x2.5" Monty trials tyre there's plenty clearance for just such a tyre. No more stones that go PING!
The 27.2mm ID of the seat post tube means you can use just about any seat post available to the two wheeled world.
Weaknesses
The seat post clamp that came with the frame is pretty puny. Very light weight... but puny none the less.
The bearing holders only have a lip on the outer edges so, unless your bearings are held tightly in place using spacers, there's a chance (all be it a small one) of them moving around. The frame has been designed with the Profile hub in mind which comes with said spacers though.
Overall
A truly lovely piece of kit! A truly expensive piece of kit! If you eat sleep and breath mod trials unicycles then it's a mandatory piece of kit ;)
