20" DM Ringmaster
A quality unicycle from the master builder. This is your basic 20" unicycle but very well made and with good strong components.
|
Strengths
DM unicycles are hand crafted by Dave Mariner in the UK and are much sought after. There's a reason for this - the build quality and components used are great!
Everything about the unicycle (except perhaps the pedals) feels solid and smooth.
Weaknesses
The Viscount seat supplied is actually very comfortable (they can be a bit of a brick sometimes depending on your luck) but it doesn't have a handle which makes hopping painful on the fingers. But if you don't hop that won't be a problem.
The pedals are okay but they do break given some rough treatment.
Overall
After watching UNiVERsE for the very first time my eyes were opened to extreme unicycling and my search for a stronger 20" unicycle began.
DM Unicycles in the UK has a great reputation for quality kit so I went for a Ringmaster and lets just say I'm a happy unicyclist! That is... until I found out the Monty tyre is too big for the frame. Still happy but now I've got a DM for indoor use and had to get another frame for the Monty wheel.
The Viscount seat is fine but had to go and be replaced with a Miyata saddle with it's front handle.
A top notch unicycle sums it up!
